Air Blower Versus Towel Dispenser

When using a public restroom that has both an air dryer and a paper towel dispenser, which method do you choose for drying the hands? A recent study compared the two ways to dry hands. It demonstrated that dry hands did not harbor harmful microbes, and that germs like water. Using the towel was preferable to air drying. Evidently when we rub our hands under the air dryer, we can cause a skin-to-skin friction that releases germs that live deep in the pores.
Choosing the towel is preferable also for good reasons. After washing the hands, a clean towel prevents cross-contamination with microbes left by prior users. When the dispenser is sensor-operated and handsfree, it guarantees it.
